Oka San, ‘mum’ in Japanese, was born in the kitchen of a youth house.
From workshop to counter
What started as a Japanese cooking workshop became a real takeaway counter, run by young people, for the neighbourhood.
A home for young people
The non-profit Oka San supports young Brussels residents through cooking workshops and collective projects. The counter is its public face.
